video of me jumping
****DISCLAIMER****
Don't worry, I don't think posting this video will make me "cool", nor do I find it "impressive". I'm just happy and excited because I finally got some "air".

Please give any and/or all constructive criticism and any tips. That's all I ask.
By the way, please look at this picture. Looks like I'm very close to bottoming out. =\

SES preload and sag, on a ttr225? Thats going to be tough..
for a few tips, I wouldnt sit down while hitting the jump because it will throw your weight foward over the handle bars, and speed it up some!!! You will go farther... After this bike i would upgrade to a 125 2 stroke or a 250 4 stroke!
Not bad though!

on a scale from 1 to 10, ill give u a 6ish.
Some tips(i race quads, or atleast try too )
bend ur knees and jump when u hit the jump
PIN IT!!!
if u let off the throttle anymore u might be kissing the ground
u might want to get some riding boots, riding in skate shoes is no good. work boots worked fine for me in the beginning. IF u put ur foot down, u might break ur ankle w/o boots
and ur shock is scaring me a little, might want to look into a a bigger bike or a stiffer sping and/or shock

all he has to do it turn the rear spring,
measure frome the rear axel to a point on the rear fenader when the bike is of the ground, then sit on the bike and measure it agian. I dont know about your particular bike but there should only be 2-3 inches of movement when you have it set correctly. on common bike(125/250) the should be 95 110 mm from the swing arm to the fender.

SES you are right, i was thinking of rebound, and dampening.. My bad. Shawny D is right get some boots, they are well worth not breaking an ankle!!!!

Thanks for all of your replies and tips.
I plan on purchasing some racing boots, but I'm a little tight on cash right now. Also, two fairly important things: This is my first dirtbike ever, so before I got it I had no idea what I would ever end up doing with it, and also this particular dirtbike in the video is my fathers. I have the same model and everything, but for some reason my dirtbike sits higher than his does. So when I get my flat tire repaired I'll have to see if I'm as close to bottoming out as I am on my father's bike.

i know how the tt-r can be. that was pretty good. yeah, i learned on those pinning is good. it doesnt have the...uh...peppyness? to just give a quick burst at the jump. i like the tt-r's through the trails and up hills.

Yeah usually I floor it, then coast the last couple feet then a quick flick of the throttle at the base of the jump. Seems to work pretty well so far.

and deffintly get pants have had a bad experiance when i was little and fell and the bike got stuck on me and burned me realy bad on my leg so always ware pants jeans or anything like that best is some motocross pants and get real boots if you plan on jumping if u jump and land on ure foot like that probly going to brake something so deffintly get pants and boots then just start off little and build your way up you will be able to figure out what needs to be done.
