pitbikes

i just sold the street bike and so i want another toy, lol. anyone here have a pitbike?if so, what is it? do u like it? me being a honda supporter i was thinking about getting a crf50. but i saw someone on a klx/drz110 and he was cruising. ive also seen them on those little pocket bikes thats an atv. im not brand bias, just got more hondas than others, so lets hear some opinions bout them all.

so basically, if you dont have one already, what kind of pitbike would you get. its gotta be able to get me from the parking to the track easily. i will drive it on the road a lot too, but it needs to be able to go offroad and have power. i need to be able to get parts for it, so no chinese imports that you find on ebay. i good perk would be i can lift it into my truck and put it in the passenger seat cuz the bed is already squeezed with my atv and dirtbike.

the crf's are a good start but you will find yourself putting alot of money into it to make it better because the stock suspension, bars, motor just dont cut it for a pit vehicle.the klx's are even better because there bigger and much better than the crf's all round, u can also put alot of money into those to but if u want one that is all tricked out get an xtreme 125 there the best pit bike i think out there and will last a long time u can also make them street legal so u can ride them on the road, its about $1800. dont get a sikk pit bike the trans on them go out quick.

you will get what you pay for. me and a friend bought a of brab crf 125, and it didnt last long. dont expect the frame to last more than a couple of months,or the footpeg mounts and spokes for that matter.

Several of my friends have klx 110. One has a bbr pipe on it and goes about 65-70 (stock about 55.) These have plenty of power to get you around and are a lot of fun. The drz and klx have the same motor so basically the color is your choice.

dude there is no way the thing goes 65-70 even with a pipe it would not go 55, all the pipe does is give more throttle response and quicker acceleration.stock they probly go about 40 and to make it go like 60 you would need to put a 140cc bore kit in it.

I'm familiar with those bikes. There's no way that klx will go that fast. Period.

ya my bro has a drz125 with a pipe that does about 60 but it sounds like the guy with the klx might have some motor work done to it.
