Clicking Noise When Chain Is Moving?

1990 rm250

first bike, so not sure if this is normal,

when i have the bike on or off of the stand, I hear the front sprocket and the chain make a clicking noise, is this normal, or is it a sign of a worn sprocket or chain, or both....thanks.

if the front sproket is pointy than its time for new sprokets and chain or it could be that u need to just tighten the chain.

Make sure theres not something like a rock or dirt caught somewhere in there. Take off the sprocket cover and have a look. It could b just a little rock hitting the master link when it goes around.
