go to the NY DNR website. i would bet you could get a one year trail pass like we have to do if we go to michigan. most places like to sell one year permits. i havent really heard of anyone doing a weekend thing. either way, the dnr will get ya squared away. perhaps there is a chamber of commerce you can call up that way. i fifnd myself doing that alot to figure things out.

Here is the website: www.nysdmv.com The regular registration form is MV-82SN. The one you will need is right in that area of forms with instructions. 01MXZ800 is right on. Good luck an enjoy NY. OB

They also raised the price to insure your sled this year it went from like 15 to 45 because they need it for trail reasons i guess.

Yeah the registration fees went up this year, most likely due to help offset NYS budget defect, not related to trails.

yeah, the ticket for non-insured in NY is 3000 mimimum last I checked, and something up to like 3 months in jail. Its rediculous, might have changed though, haven't checked it out in a while. I doubt it going down though, they seem really serious around here.
