H Ill
Get up there early for the best riding. Very nice base with few feet of fresh snow up on top of it.

Ya isn't it. It's insane. NYS wants 100 bux. Discount for being in a club but for the amount of time I put in it's hardly worth it. I love it but it runs you to the ground.

I talked to a guy not long ago( he bought my 94 Jag and is only gonna register it in NY) that said if you get the discount from the club. The total amount is the same but ALL the money goes to the NY trail systems. Which is cool, I'd definitly take that route to help the trails. But here is my dilema....
For my wife and I to go to OLD FORGE it would cost us $290 before the sleds even come off the trailer.
However that doesn't mean we will not go. I hear alot of great things about Tug Hill and Olde Forge. Especially for riding during the week.

It's worth it. When the trails there are in good condition and traffic is low you can ride all over out of Old Forge! It sucks you have to pay the extra permit fee but it's not that big of a deal for me! Just get the pass before Nov15th and you save 20 bucks for the season pass. it's a good deal if you are going to ride more than a few times!!

Still save $30
I don't save a dime because of all the work I put in the trails but I enjoy it and help benefit the other riders besides myself. If you are interested in riding Tug Hill Highmaret Sports can hook you up. Might be cheaper to just rent a sled than to do what you are doing. Good luck

If I went to NY twice a year it would be totally worth it.I live about 100 miles from lake chataqua so its not a bad ride to get there.

Not by any means. What you have to do is ride by like 7:30 in the morning. Then ride till like 5:30 at night. Take a good nap till about 11:00 then hit the trails again. The method to the maddness is that the grooms run late at night and early in the a.m. If anyone is going to the hill when they have descent snow message me I'd love to hook up and ride.

Hey whats up? I'm about 3 hours from Tug Hill but I go up just about every weekend there isnt snow at home. I live just south of ROchester, NY. Reason I am at the Hill so much is that I have a camp on Tug Hill. It is in West Turin (Highmarket). Just off of Highmarket Rd. Or Mighigan Mills Rd. Shoot me a message with some contact info and hopefully we can ride some time.
