How Many Maine?

Just got off the power line trail. Real poor, kept hitting gravel base. Just checked weather though and we're supposed to get 18" in next 24 hours!

How Many In Maine?

My machine is real heavy (over 800#) so it digs in if I'm not careful. Just came in from blowing and I would say it will be good driving from today on!

Thumbs up

Princeton area(Washington Co.) Maine. We have gotten 4 inches of fresh since last night, and it is building at a steady pace. We went out ice fishing yesterday about a 22 mile ride from the house on 12 inches of ice, but the snow coverage was minimal and lots of bare ice showing. I was told that there were even pick up trucks out the same day, and I am not that brave. The trails have snow coverage and some ice spots with plenty of bumps and snow laden trees crossing the trail. Taking it slower and more careful we still managed 55 miles on top of an amazing day of trails and the lake. I couldn't ask for a better way to bring the first day of the new year.

Talking Lots 'o' snow

We, Princeton area(Washington Co.) are currently at approximately 14-16 inches of fresh snow this storm only, and it's still coming down quite heavily.

I was on ITS 85 in Albion area yesterday and boy did it s***! Bare ground everywhere, trees down and open puddles/streams around every corner. I talked to a local and even he said it s***!

I was up in Stratton/Eustis area today and the trails didn't look to bad.

ITS 89,84 & 82 are all groomed and rideable, yes we've had better years and they are icy in spots but there is more then enough GROOMED snow down that cooling is not an issue. Friends & myself have been riding daily & all waterways are froze right up. Guys don't get disgusted, traditionally February & the beginning of March are our snowiest periods, we've gotten spoiled the last 2 years with such early snowy winters that we forget things like this. The way to look at it is at least we have enough snow to ride, remember 4, 5 years ago when it wasn't even worth registering your sled? Anyone interested in going riding let me know, PM me, I have plenty of room here at the house to park multiple vehicles w/trailers and we can sled right from the yard down onto ITS 89 the old narrow gauge RR bed in West Farmington, I have booked no work for the whole winter just so I can sled. From the house up to Rangeley is a 70 mile ride and trails are decent. The offer stands.
