Hi gents,

I'm looking to plan a trip to Quebec City for winter carnival. Anybody actually driven the trails from Ile D'Orleans into the City?

The FCMQ map shows the trail running from the island having a break at the beach of the main-land. Is this just an artifact of the map?

Also, it appears that connection to the mainland is over the ice and not the bridge. How reliable is this passage in late Jan to early Feb?

Last question, how far into the city can you ride? The map shows no passage to anywher near the old city. Will you need to drive a car to participate in the Carnival activites?

I was looking at a Chalet on the island and hoping not to have to trailer the sleds...
