I have a 93 Skidoo MX 470 the sled was running great the other day when i pulled it out to clean it up and do some maintenance to the tie rod ends and seats. I thought while I had it out I would give it a wash and armorall the track it ran great before I washed it, Then I went to start it after I washed it and it will not start for the life of it. I changed the plugs, flushed the tank, new gas, new fuel filters, let it sit. I have no damn clue what happened. It gets perfect spark, compression and gas, but WILL NOT run. Please Help Me THanks, Jon
I pulled the carbs off both bowls have a chalky, greenish, yellowish substance in the bowls and on the needles, must be from sitting with bad gas in them I would imagine, however it was running fine with them dirtied all up like that before. but they are very very dirty. gonna clean them up and see what happens.
Alright its all back together and its running good, however I was wondering if there was a way I could eliminate that whole Airbox Snorkel set up thing and replace it with something aftermarket and smaller in there, would that be possible? would 2 cold air intake style filters work hose clamped on the end of each carb? and also where can I find , Tie Rods, ends, control arms, and ends, some are bent some ball joints are bad. Just wanna redo them right away while its out.. ? Having a hard time finding that stuff.
Any aftermarket place should have them. Have you checked the parts and where to find them section of this forum?
