i have recently purchased a 1996 Ski-doo MXZ 583, when i bought it, it ran perfectly fine, and when winter came, i had a friend of mine, who is a lisenced small engine mechanic, do a pre season on the sled, he fixed all the problems, and had it running like a brand new sled. finally, the snow is here, i have put about 2000 miles on the sled, and had not a single problem with it, other than my wallet hates gas stations haha.. i had it out the other night for a quick ride with some friends.. not even 5 miles from home, the sled died on me, so i did what i was always told, and removed the spark plugs, checked for spark( there was plenty) i pulled it a few times without the plugs in it, and put them back in, primed it once, and it fired right up. after that, it ran perfect again. the next day, i was out on it again, and when i would shut it off, it would take a bit to get it started...once i got it started, i was off, hit the trails, and some local riding spots. on my way home that night, i was about a mile out of town, and it died on me again, so i did the exact same as i did the previous time, exept this time, it wouldnt fire back up...after 3 straight hours of pulling my arse off, i decided to call a friend with a truck, and he took it home for me...i let it sit over night, and went out for trial and error in the morning, i pulled it over when i went out, and it sputtered a bit, then died again, and again, wouldnt fire up. after another 2 hours of pulling it over, and checking for spark and trying all sorts of small tricks ive heard of, it wouldnt run...i finallly got it to run, and it would run perfect while i was giving it throttle, but once i let off the throttle to let it idle, it would die, so i was back to trial and error to get it started again, i finally got it started again, but was doing the same thing. it runs good after i spend hours and hours on end getting it to actually fire up, but wont idle, and takes forever to start it, it will sputter a couple times, and not fire right up, but eventually with alot of pulling, it will start, but still wont idle, and soon as it shuts down, takes forever to start again....spark plugs are brand new, lots of spark, seems to have lots of compression, just doesnt wanna start, and when it does, it wont idle.....does anyone know what could be causing this? im not much of a small engine mechanic, so i am here to get some advice on what may be the problem....thanks for any advice you may have:thumbsup:

so, i took the carbs off, and cleaned the Sh*t outta them, they couldnt be any cleaner..still not firing, the odd time when i pull it, it sounds like its about to fire up, then it doesnt, im am very confused, i still cant seem to figure it out, any other siggestions on what might be causing the sled to not fire up? i am getting plenty of fuel to the carbs, but doesnt seem to be flooding out, cuz when i take the plugs out, they are a bit wet, but not flooded, and the plugs are beand new....im kinda new to this, so anything you think may help my out, let me know, thanks
