New to Forum and Snowmobiling
Hi
I just moved to Northern New Hampshire and decided to get 2 snowmobiles. Having never ridden one I'm looking forward to it.
I bought two used 03 Yamaha 600 VM with electric start and reverse. One seld has 1300 on it and the other 900. They came with a 02 Load Rite tilt enclosed trailer with a fold up dog sled.
I bought them from a dealer who sold them on consignment.
I should have made the dealer start them up and back them off then back on the trailer to make sure all was fine because when I got them home I started them and found one at idle has a slight noise like maybe a clutch noise. When I give it some gas it goes away. The other seems to have a slightly rough idle.
They looked clean compared to others I looked at. The sleds were bought from this dealer and maintained there as well as stored there. The dealer said the owners were 80 and used it to get up to their camp.
I will try to bring the sleds back to the dealer to listen and see what he says but he seems to be in the middle and probably didn't make much on the deal?
I will be joining the club in my town and finding out the trails. I've hiked alto through these mountains so I'm looking forward to seeing them with out huffing and puffing.
I want to hook up the dog sled with some gear and camping or day picnicking somewhere nice with wife and or kids.
Jim

Thanks All
I will post some pics soon. Hopefully on top of Cherry Mountain, etc.
I pulled the axle out of the trailer and Rustoluem'd it good as well as packed the bearings.
I rewired the trailer also as I had trouble getting the lights on.
It turned out to be ground related. I ran a direct line from the truck to the ground wire in the wiring and all fired up. So I don't use the ground to the frame way like the factory installed it. I didn't want to bother cleaning the grounds and hoping the path for the ground to the front is good too.
I ordered a manual for the sleds to help with any questions on them.
I paid $10,000 for the hole package. Covers, spare,Hole Shot skid plates, Studded tracks,Dog Sled.
Hopefully they are ready to go and no pre expense's.
