G'Day from IL
Just joined... pick up my first sled on the 24th. It is a 1996 Polaris XLT Touring.... just something to take my gf out on and get into the sport. I am more into jetskiing but need a winter hobby since I am new to the area.
If anyone rides and is in the Lake County area of IL get in touch.

the only thing thats different is that i dont have the UP right above me.
im about 30 min west of chicago, nice area, but i would like to find a house a bit more rural

Thanks everyone... it looks like a great forum and being new to the sport that definitely is a plus.
Isn't it somewhat rural west of Chicago? I was out in St. Charles once and it didn't look too much like suburbia.
I am new to sleds and the area so I don't know where the trails are in my area. I hear there are some though and plan to find them by the first snow.

Trail Maps
i know theres trails in northern illinois that imma try out when we get the snow. we should hook up some time and venture out and hit the trails
where i live is sort of in the middle like strip malls and neighborhoods. if i drive 30min east im in the city, and if i drive 30 min west ill see corn fields.
