New to Snowmobiles in Ontario, Canada

Hi Everyone,

I am a new snowmobiler and have recently picked up a 1992 Yamaha Phazer II. I am glad there is a forum like this to gain knowledge from the experienced.

A friend and I have already cleaned up the carbs, and it accelerates fast enough for me now, but I am sure there are many other items that should be inspected or repaired before it becomes a reliable form of transportation. I was hoping this forum would have some good ideas on fixing her up and keeping her running. I am only interested in making the machine a comfortable ride for heavy weight (250). It will mainly be used for trips to the ice shack and possibly some trail riding.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am really interested in tuning the suspension for my weight.
