The SS which is Smart Suspension is costly to have fix if it breaks. You can actually just replace it if it does break with a $100 FX shock or the shock of your choice. Ive heard as much as $800 to fix the smart suspension. What color of sled did you get? Ive been kinda looking around for the exact sled in the copper color. I have the Arctic Cat TXI matching helmet. I like the copper since you dont see to many. I have yet seen one on the trails in my area.

The color is a "burnt orange". I purchased it used. Not exactly a color choice I would have chosen, but it is pretty sharp.

You will be able to tell by the comfort of the ride. You will start bottoming out when the shock is bad. Heres a picture of my wife and I's matching helmets for that sled.
