New Here! New To Snowmobiling!

Hello Everybody I'm need here and new to snowmobiling. I got a few questions that could help me by getting answered. How many miles is too many miles on a used snowmobile? I was looking at a used yamaha but wasnt sure if 3500 miles was too many miles. Second which snowmobile manufacturer makes a good handling, comfortable, yet kinda fast snowmobile? Im not looking to go crazy. Thanks for your replys in an advance,
Dan

3500 miles is ok depending on the price. Every manufacturer makes a good handling, comfortable and fast sled. It's personal preference really. go with the sled you think looks great, take it for a test ride and see how it performs (kinda hard to do until snow gets here) if you like how it performs. go with it! but there are a lot of sleds to choose from so i'd say just do some research on all the manufacturers. my favourite is Ski-Doo. but like I said, its personal preference. not everyone likes the Doos lol.

Welcome to the forum!

Like TheSnowPro said, all the manufacturers make a sled that will fit your requirements. You may want to look at local service/parts availability and also consider what your friends ride; there's nothing more valuable than friends that can help you if something breaks!

Good luck in your search!!

welcome to the forum. i started with a AC with 4k on it have a yami with 4600 on it and a doo with6k on it. all run good. like they have already said find out where you can get parts and will you be doing it yourself if you need repairs. If you will there are several great used parts places around the Northern states that ship to you. I use Arts snowmobiling parts in WI but live in MI. I try to do all my own work its more affordable and i have all these great people to use as a reference if i get in a jam.
