New to the forum!

Hi I'm Lee. I have a couple sleds, my first one was a 1978 Arctic Cat Pantera. I rebuilt the engine about 6 years ago, and haven't touched it since, I need to get on that.. My other sled is a 2001 Arctic Cat ZL600. Its got a little over 600 miles on it. Unfortunately I have no friends who ride, and the winters here in Medina Ohio pretty much suck, to add to the fact I only have about 2 acres to ride on (other than ditchbanging).

I'm looking to get into grass dragracing, if anyone could lead me in the right direction as to where and when there are events, preferably in the ohio area, that would be great!

Also, it would be cool to meet up with other sledders, it would be great to put some more miles on!

I've been up to Michigan before, would really like to go back! Actually thats how most of the miles got put on the ZL lol. Also rode the '78 up there, I think that will be the last time I take the '78 on trails, it got beat to hell. First the headlight stopped working in the middle of the night, then the exhaust manifold broke in half, plus having no suspension just beats the crap out of you.

wow, that sucks. turn that 78' into the beater.i got a 83' polaris sport for $20 the other week and i was going to use it as my ditch banger and toss around sled and beat it up. i was actually going to set up a little cross country race for that sled (just between my friends) full bore, it would of been fun, but im going to sell the sled instead-money talks. if it dont sell, im goin to try to get into the neosho snowmobile races. its a big event. i would run that sled in the "jalapi run" junk sleds that race, not for first place but for whoever the crowd likes best. this year (races take place in jan) half the sleds died at the startin line-funny. get ur buddies to get there snowmobiler safty. then let them use the 78'. ha, start them out on a beater

ha that sounds like a good time. No need to worry about a safety test though, all we need is registration stickers on the sleds, well, technically, mine is 3 or 4 years past expiration..but the only times I ride on the street is times when you'd be dumb to take your car out, so therefore, no cops are out. Only about once a year that happens. Meh, I think I put about 9 miles on the sled last year, which is why I want to get into grass or asphault racing.

Well if you think we don't, think again lol. I've never been there but from what you're saying they sound the same. (VT is still better :P.)

ZMan welcome to the forum. As you can see everyone thinks they have the best snow. If you want to ride here in Mid MI or further we would love to ride with you. There's a run in Feb up north called the SF MI run that many of the SF guys go on. Lots of fun. Any other time I'm here in Mid MI and you are welcome to come ride up here and I'd be happy to show you around.

Haha I hate flat landers. Thinking they're redneck when they only come up to the good states for a few weeks to ride then they head back.
