Hey guys, from West Michigan.

Hey, everyone, I'm from west Michigan, looks like a pretty cool forum here so i thoguht id check it out and register, I'm a member of tinboats.net dedicated to aluminum boats being converted to bass boats, and a member of michigangunowners.com and another couple of sights i cant remember...
Anyway im looking at buying a couple new sleds. So if any one on here are experts let me know what you think.
Im looking at:

yamaha phazer II 1992 540 elec, stored inside all time, needs carb work, newer, and carbide studs and skis...

and an 1985 srv540, no windshield runs well...

any opinions of what one i should go for? both are closely priced.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

The Phaser has a reputation of lasting a very long time with minimal maintenance. The suspension will be a lot better in the Phaser than the SRV. Yamaha sold a LOT Of Phasers, so that means more parts should be available when something breaks.

Carbs on sleds are usually very easy to work on, I would not let that scare me away.

For the same price, I would go with the newer sled, if only for the better suspension...
