Hello from Stony Plain Alberta.

I posted a couple of messages already and then realized I should post here.

I'm on an acreage near Stony Plain and I'm getting back into sledding after a 10 year haiatus. I parked my 72 Nordic 440 behind the shed 10 years ago when my son was a baby. Last month he was expressing interest in it so I figured I would drag it out of the bush and give it a re-do. Almost ready to run it, just have to finish the carb, and bolt it all back together.

Two weeks ago, I bought a 90 Wildcat 650 Mountain Cat for $1200.00. Wow. I can't believe how fast that thing is, puts the old 440 to shame. Need to clean out the idle jets, its not idling very good right now. I got it cheap because the previous owners had it sitting for a couple of years. (they bought a bunch of newer sleds) It was running great until the other day when the jets clogged up. I changed the filters (tank and inline) and I'm going to pull the carbs this weekend.

Anyways, glad to be a part of the forum. I've already got some good advice here, and look forward to participating more. More importantly, I can't wait to get my sleds tuned up and go sledding!

Ryan.

Welcome to the forum and back to snowmobiling. I did the exact same and took about ten years off. Got back into it 5 or so years ago. What was I thinking not having a sled for so long?
