New

Hey I'm new to the forum and was just trying to figure out if I should buy a snowmobile or not. I was thinking of getting a cheap one. Maybe about $600-$1000. I'm 14 years old and am currently in the process of trying to convince my parents to buy me one. I need to know if it is expensive to keep one running. So if anybody has any advice about the expenses or has a cheap snowmobile to sell in Vermont that would be great.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!!. If you can I would get one. Riding a sled is the greatest. It can get as expensive as you want it to. But thats the great thing about THIS forum. There are a great bunch of fellow sled maniacs on here to help with any problems you may have.

Welcome and Happy Trails

Your biggest expense is going to be fuel now.

Welcome! In my opinion, how well the sled was taken care of before you got it is going to dictate your expenses. And of course as RJ mentioned, these things love fuel!

Welcome to the Snow Show! Enjoy the site, and be good to your parents! Get good grades in school, and have a talk with your parents about a sled. Remember, they love you, and will make you happy!

Welcome! Start out on a small twin cylinder sled (500 or so), you'll love it, and it won't be as expensive to ride (or fix!) as a larger one.
