Hi guys and gals.
Hi everyone I am looking forward to this being my first year in sledding. I can use some help tomorrow I have the option between two sleds in a trade I am making. One of the sleds is a 1994 ski doo mach 1 with a 670 twin with 5000+ miles on it. The other sled is a 1995 Polaris 670 triple with about the same mileage and will need a new track. I know their is a war between trip and twin my question is witch is the better deal. I am new to all this and will be using the sled for ice fishing and fun with the kids. Ant help would greatly be appreciated.

First welcome to the forum! As for the choice, I would go with the ski-doo. That is a wicked fast sled and handles pretty decent as well..
No experience with the polaris, but around here anyway, the older trip's everyone, says they blow the center piston. Now I understand the newer ones dont have that problem, and keep in mind this is just info from aroud the water cooler...

I thank you for your in put. I just had that discussion with the owner of the mach 1 he said his sun kept burning out the center piston. My wife is the only one working so budget for any sled would be tight. The only sled I have ever had was a Arctic cat jag 440 afs. I guess I am looking for the biggest bang for the smallest buck.

Welcome and Happy Trails
Go with the 670, it'll be a lot better on the fuel too.

Welcome, and I too would choose the Mach. I had a '94 and looks like I may get it back. Great sled very fast too.

Welcome to the forum : no matter which one you choose make sure you check compression the ski doo should have between 110 - 120 lbs. I don't know about the Pooplaris you'll have to look it up, but with that many miles it could be time to rebuild and if the budget is tight you may not want to get involved
