Wildman has found his way here

Hi all,
I honestly had thought I would not ever own a sled. I was wounded in 2004 while serving in Iraq and was shot in the leg. I now have nerve damage & some blood circalation issues. So I just always told myself NO!! Well I have a boat I am trying to sell and a guy contacted me asking if I wanted to trade. He has a 93 Ski-Doo Mach 1 XTC. So right now I am thining I will trade him and ride this winter. If I enjoy it I'll start looking for a newer sled next year.
So there are pictures and questions posted over in the Ski-Doo section.

There is a fellow on here that goes by the name [tHe]Saint. He's from Spokane and he shares some fantastic pics of his riding. Check them out when you get a chance.

Thank you for your service to our country. I think you'll find snowmobiling highly addictive so please what ever you do take it in small amounts. I have seen one too many riders lose everything just to go play in the snow. So with that being said HAVE A BLAST hope to see out there sometime. Be safe keep it to the right, track side down!!!

Cool and welcome to Washington. I have lived in WA off and on for many years and seem to end up back here for some reason. I live in Ill for about 5 years total when I was a kid. First Chicago and then Grand Ridge.

And no worries about becoming addicted to sledding, I already have 1 addiction which is a Jeep!!! Go check out www.4x4nut.com

And thanks all.

^ dude, i checked out your webpage, and i cant believe your injury and recovery.

i know my injury is nothing like getting shot...but in a dirt bike accident i had a compound fracture to my left wrist (both bones sticking out), dislocated my right hip, and broke my right femur and right patella. i've had five corrective surgeries, two were bone graphs, and one stem cell, all were for my left wrist. all together i've had about 1500 stiches, 10 pins, and 2 metal plates (one is removed, one is still in).

i wish you the best

I just want everyone to know that the only reason I mentioned my injuries was so that you could help me make good desicions about getting & riding a sled. So if anyone else deals with a injury that makes riding a issue please lets talk about how you over come it.

the only issues i have is my wrist getting sore at the end of the day (please keep minds out of the gutter ); mostly because you're constantly using your wrists to keep the handle bars steady. (and my left wrist has about 20% mobility.)

i installed a riser to help with standing up riding, but i also found out that it keeps my wrist at a different angle which allows it to not get sore as fast.

the only real issue is jumps, or riding over the wash board areas when i'm going pretty fast. the pounding isnt the best, but i deal with it.
