Mountain X-Over

Hey fella's, I see there isn't too many posts in here, but I have a quick question. On my 98 Vmax XT, can I put a 2" paddle under it and have it work but just reducing the size of the cog? Or do I need to do more than that?

hmmm, i guess i never thought of that, i always firgure that you would have to notch the track if it fit around the drive shaft. i should but you may have to notch the track to clear the heat exchangers.

one way of doing it is to put one tooth smaller extrovert drivers on it. you should probly measure and see if there is enough room right now if you haven't already.

Yeah that's what I have to do to put more than an 1 1/2", but my friend told me that my tunnel might not clear with a paddle any bigger. Didn't know if you guys knew the specifics. Thanks for the help though!

dont you mean 8 tooth, if you are going to get new driver get the anti ratchets, also you will need a track with every window open, this is also way better.

Yeehaa! Ordered my 2" track today. Yeah I called Mountain Performance today and they hooked me up with 2 - 8 tooth anti ratchet drivers. Stiffed me 140 for both but it'll be worth it. Can't wait to put that baby on!
