Sure, i am a huge polaris fan, thats all i ride, artics are better paper weights, yahmahas, well lets face it, ski-doo is a close secound to polaris, but 159"... There is a limit i can accept even from polaris, and 159 sure aint below that limit. Just think of all the extra wheels you would need to add just to save your slides, not to mention if you were to get stuck. I think a 144x2 is big, but not so big it becomes clunky. Yes i would like to ride one, but i couldnt bring myself to purchase one.
Thoughts?

I like the short tracks myself, add a good paddle and you have the ticket, say thundercat with 1.75

Thundercat with a 1.75 on it eh? I bet that hooks up like no tomorrow on the hard pack. Zero - 60 in what... about 2 secdons.  Got any 2" studs on that thing?

yeah, i would have to agree 159" track is kinda crazy, but man, im sure it can really throw the snow  The problem with having a track that big is the amount of slides you would go through, just because the track would be throwing all the snow out of the suspension and there would be nothing for the track to slide on, besides the slides

In the west, you can't get off the road with out a long track. The only time I'm on the trail is to get to the steep and deep. Highmarkin baby!

I ride a 151" and now think that 159 would be usefull, but we don't use them on groomed trails here in Utah

If I lived in the mountains, judging form the pics I have seen of the riding there, I would undoubtedly buy a 144 at the least and if I had $8,000 sitting around I think an RMK Vertical Edge 151" would be my choice.
We will be heading out to Wyoming for spring break, and from the sound of things my Zr 500 with a 121" 3/4" isn't going to cut it too well off the trails!

Yeah, here where I live anything w/o a long track doesn't go off the trails. I have a 151x2, it gets along nice. One of the local delaer ownders has a 159x2 on a NOSd thundercat, he can climb anything.

I think I would rather have a $20,000 pickup instead of a NOSed snowmobile. Sounds like a crash just waiting to happen. Its amazine how much money some guys are willing to spend on their sleds, but I guess if you are a deal it MIGHT be okay.
