Using a crossover for mountain riding??

Hi guys,
Got one group of friends who are into mountain riding, and have straight up mountain sleds.. gfs friends are into trail riding..

Would a crossover sled be able to do both? Obviously not aswell as either specifically designed machine, but good enough to get the job done..

If you just swapped the tracks over longer for mountains, shorter for trails on the crossovers would that help make 1 sled do 2 jobs decently?

Haven't been riding too long, so any comments and tips would be great.

Cheers guys,

That would be a pain in the arse to switch tracks all of the time!

First of all...Welcome to the forum.

Now...A crossover sled is an excellent choice for someone that likes the best of both worlds.I've got a polaris switchback and love it! The 144" track with 1.25" lugs does okay in the powder and excellent on the trails. You won't go to top of the hills with the big summits or RMK's but through the trees and across the meadows they're fine.

I wish polaris wouldn't have quit the 144" on the switchback.
