Advice on carving video

This is a video of me carving in a field. there was only about 2.5 feet of snow and my sled was running like crap, as discussed in another thread.

Advice? Technique? Pos/Neg?

Hey man, my advice would to stop going side to side so much, and when you plan on carving into a turn you need to commit more it seems like you were just pulling the sled instead of muscling the sled and throwing it around like you should. Give me a minute and i load a vid of me carving.

Nice video, your not doing bad, cant tell if you have risers but adding a inch or 2 would help with the leverage factor, also try putting both feet on one side then giving it a good lean while turning your bars the othe way to start it.
your doing some nice turns, it just takes pratice and getting used to, but defintly try whats mentioned above. snow depth and consistancy will make it feel different evey day you get out laying it over

Countersteer with finess instead of brute strength.

You're doing good, though. It's a great skill to have, especially if you do a lot of hills... side-hilling with countersteer is pretty fun

I want your snow

Usually where i ride all the good snow has already been run thru, on the flats anyways, so i go to the hills, (i live in the Colorado Rockies) and i try my risk factor at that. I've learned alot "trying" to side hill and make a high mark but everytime i go out, i get better and better or so i think, now im doing things i never would have tried eariler in the year. Carving to me is the same way, the more and more you do it, the better you get and the easier is becomes, also i noticed the deeper the snow on the flats the easier too and less scary to throw the sled around. Im not a very big guy and i tend to over throw the sled and get thrown off but its all in the fun of it!

Hope that helps a bit!

Thanks
