hood straps?

I have a 04 switchy i bought used, he has it setup with deep lug track and powder skis from simmons, he also gave me some beefy hoodstraps he didnt end up putting on, since im getting to be pretty agressive and do mostly mountain riding, i thought it would be wise for me to install them, where around the hood do you usually put these? dont want my sled to look like a twisted jeep =)

On the side of the hood sort of in the middle(not directly in the middle more towards the front). Just made sure they are on there tight. Post a picture of your sled and ill point it out.

Thanks, description is fine.
how common are these on mountain sleds? i mean most any small hill is enough to flip your hood open and pop it off it seems, if you screw up.

they are more common on race sleds really since the abuse they take and the allow easy access to the engine bay. I dont know how well they are used with mountain sleds.
