Rear Axle kit

Hey all
I have a 151x15x2 track on my 98 RMK, i was wondering what the advantages are of an inside axle kit? Right now i have 8in rear wheels. 2 outside one offset inside the rails, i heard an inside kit helps with side hilling which i could use considering where i live and ride. Any and all comments about the subject are grealty appricated! SLP has an inside axle kit for my snowmobile for 70dollars, i would also get lighter weight wheels considering mine are the plastic solid ones!

Thanks
Grant Miller

It allows you to turn quicker and maneuver easier with less rolling resistance. I changed mine and love the difference on my 162" King Cat.

My 2008 600 came stock with the inside axles, it's easier to move and lean than my 2006 with the wheels on the outside. Only thing, if you lose a bearing, you are done, there's no backup... so keep the bearings maintained!

I doubt you will find any performance increases with the wheels inside the rails on a trail sled, in fact, it may not be as good as the wheels on the outside of the rails. The bigger wheels will help with any track, the rolling resistance as the track goes around the wheels is less with a bigger radius wheel.. that will increase track speed on a trail sled as well.

No, you would need the offset axle though.
