East Coaster looking for the ultimate powder riding vaca

Hey all

I'm new to the forum. Looking to put together a week in powder heaven somewhere out west. I ride out east (20 years experience), but have ridden in real powder only a handful of times and am looking to get into the real deep stuff for a week of pure fun this winter. I am hoping you guys can help me figure out:

1. where - Wyoming? Colorado? Alberta?
2. Who - how do I find a great local guide to take me into the local backcountry where the good powder riding is? (this seems to be the toughest question to find an answer to!)
3. When - is the best time to go?
4. What - rent a sled? Or buy one and eBay it after the trip?? (a powder seld won't be much good to me out here in the east!) I'm a lifelong Ski Doo rider so a newer Summit 800 is the most appealing powder sled to me.

Give me what you got!

Mark
