The EFI stator and the Carb stator are not the same and won't work... The EFI stator has additional stuff on it to run the EFI

hello Im not sure if your still looking for a stator for your 96 580 but i have one that i picked up in my travels feel free to call me 1-907-617-7171 im in ketchikan ak

P.S. I just picked up a 95 580 efi mountain cat and it doesnt seem to want to go over 35 mph and thats at 7000 rpm with the throttle wide open

Company repairs stators or there is a snowmobile boneyard in the area called OVERHILL SPORTS that sell used parts. Guaranteed also. They will ship.
Call 1-807-768-7720. Let me know how you make out.

Sorry should have said the company that repairs stators is in Thunder Bay also.
Advise if you need number.
