IT WILL STOP YOUR SLED IN THE EVENT THAT YOU BECOME SEPARATED FROM IT! IT JUST REPLACES YOUR STOCK BRAKE LEVER. I JUST WISH I'D HAD IT LAST YEAR WHEN I FELL OFF AND WRAPPED MY SLED AROUND A TREE!! CHECK IT OUT AT www.ebrake.net IF IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING YOU CAN USE!!!! THIS THING REALLY WORKS!!!!
