Huggins Snowmobile Salvage - Upstate NY

Anyone who's into vintage and older sleds and is located in the Northeast, within driving distance of (approximately) Monticello or Liberty NY, might be interested to know there's a snowmobile salvage yard just outside Jeffersonville NY called Huggins Snowmobile Salvage. It's run by an old guy (Huggins) who apparently has a network of dealers he buys a lot of NOS and used parts from. Aside from that, he's got a yard FULL of old sleds. I was there this weekend; I took some photos of his yard just to show it. That building is so chock full of snowmobile, ATV and dirt bike parts, that it is about ready to explode. You walk in there, and you just KNOW he's going to have what you need - it's just a question of how long it will take to find it. This guy found me a set of brand new Polaris bumpers - still in the original plastic wrapping - for my '77 Electra. I've also gotten a bunch of other parts from him in the last two weeks. He handles all brands, not just Polaris.

You can get in touch with him by calling (845) 482-5086. He was open on Saturday and Sunday until 5:00 PM EST. The yard is located on Briscoe Rd. off of Rt. 52, about 4 miles (?) north of Jeffersonville. I've never seen any website for this place. I heard about him through a Polaris dealer in Middletown.

Id love to go picking through that. Old sleds are still fun to ride.... well as long as you are on a smooth surface. I dont know how people did it back in the 70s and later.

Huggins

This guy could probably find that motor - if he didn't have one already. He's got a bunch of complete sleds inside that building too. Most of them look like they could just be driven off the property. I can't say I saw that particular sled, though, unfortunately...
