which voltage regulator

i got the 75 Raider wired up tonight, for the killswitch, ignition and whatnot to work, now i just need to know which voltage regulator i should use on the sled before i hook up the lighting. the sled did have a 340 Kohler, and used a 4 wire regulator...well raider company calls it a rectifier but supposedly is the same thing. its got 2 yellow wires going to it, black wire for ground, and red feeds power to the whole sled. the motor the sled came out of, a 70 artic cat cheetah used a 1 wire regulator. the body just grounded out against the frame on the artic cat, and not sure what the one wire was for, info i gather tells me all i need to do, is tap that into the power wire feeding the rest of the sled with juice. which one should i use, one that used to be with the motor in the cat, or the origional one that belongs to this raider?
