early MN snow
i sure hope this is a sign of things to some this winter! I'd love to see a season like 2000-2001 with 4-5 inches every week insead of the 20" every 2 months crap...anyways, this is what i read:
Winter has come early to northwestern Minnesota.
The first snow of the season fell overnight. The National Weather Service says snow fell in parts of Pennington, Marshall, Kittson and Roseau counties.
The Roseau County sheriff's office says amounts of one to two inches are common across the county. A winter weather advisory is out for the Bemidji, Bagley and Clearbrook area. Forecasters say snow will continue through the morning. Two to four inches is possible by noon.
The early season snow could make for hazardous driving conditions. The snow is expected to change over to rain by this afternoon.

Yes. I'm down by the Cities...of course, there are enough idiot drivers here withOUT snow. So...being snow-free (for now) is a blessing in disguise, I guess. (At least that's what I tell myself to feel better.)

I only like snow in the Metro if it's enough to basically shut down just about everything (OK, just my school, which would require a LOT of snow). The first dusting of the year, and you'd swear people forgot how to drive in snow since the last time it snowed...a whole 7 - 8 months ago.
