Info on trails and location for MI ride..

Ok guys, Pretty sure we covered this before, but just want top me sure.

Since it looks like one day we will be riding out of IR and another Alanson.

With us staying at the Johnson Motel up 75, how bad of a ride is that to the two locations? Are the trails right there? not that bad of a ride to meet up?

If not, anyone have any ideas for a motel in IR or inbetween alanson and IR?

when we ride out of alanson you'd probably want to trailer to mouse's house or to the trail head. as for IR, im not sure where exactly the motel is at. however, i do know the trail runs really close to 75 and it connects into IR. IRS would prolly have more insight than i.

Your hotel is right next to the exit 313 ramp off NB I-75. It is on Grandview Beach Rd. To get to the trail (former RR bed) you will go about 1/2 mile East on GvBR. Take the trail South for about 3 miles & that puts you in Indian River.
Agree, with PI500!! I plan on trailering to Alanson. There is a connector from the south IR trails to Alanson, but a lot of it is plowed roadways....could be tough on equipment if fresh snow is scarce. On a good day, it could take an hour to get there via sled. Check out Michigan Interactive™ ~ Michigan Outdoors & Outdoor Recreation for trail details in that area. See ya' soon!!

BTW - There is hotel info pinned/stickied.
