MI Ride...Who's Showin', Who's Blowin'??
Alright guys...I separated this from the other thread for the sole purpose of determining a headcount!
Early plans call for the group to leave from the Alanson area on Saturday 2/17 AM; Sunday's ride will begin from the Indian River area. Now, this is the important part for the guys doing the planning. Please specify how many will be joining us with your group. Also specify where you will be staying...if not sure, say so, because we may be able to help.
Keep it simple & direct I'll start it off!!
2 riders(IRS & IRS jr) staying in town IR

All Participants!!
PM me your cell phone numbers & I will assemble a contact info sheet for everyone to have. I will also try to put together a short itineray, as well!
Let's make this a ride to remember rather than like last year, which is one I'd like to forget!!

IR Trail Report Feb. 9
Every day brings us another inch or two of snow so it's been a great week for the trails. The groomer has run every night and I just saw it going out again now on the wooded trail. The trail is white everywhere except for a little brown patch around the artery by the DNR trailhead across from Wildwood Road. Grooming efforts have been helped by the cold temps at night and during the day. The railroad bed continues to have the thinnest base of about 2" but back in the woods the base ranges from 4 to 7 inches. Chose your path and time to ride to make the most of the great trail conditions.

A suggestion might be if we do a ride on Friday lets make it the railroad bed along mullet. We know by Saturday and Sunday it will probably be tore up by all the traffic.

Gaylord to Indian River is 28 miles up 75, then Another 10-12 miles across 68 to Alanson. So about 45 min.
