Thats a part of learning, always workin to make it better next time. Powder Special looks like a beast, you're gonna have to get a new winter suite now to match that sled ^_^

Is it just me or is those Dunebuggy handle bars a bit tall, seems like they'd be in my face.

They look kinda tall, but when you crank the bars to one side, its perfect, they dont hit anything, and its actually more comfy to ride than you'd imagine. as for the snowsuit, the set i bought last year will look better with this sled than my bright red polaris I also have to get a new helmet this year, i smashed mine this past monday while ddunebuggying, the helmet fell off the trailer and the buggy landed on top of it.

Thats mainly the reason i got it, to blow the snow from the middle of the road to the edge, so i have easy access to the countryside without driving on asphalt or cement. I live in a trailer park on the outskirts of town, and when they take the snow twice a year, i have to ride one ski on the snowpile and one ski on the road!!! now, i can reduce the piles to a five foot wide stretch of snow path till theres no snow left!!

Actually that is a mid-late 60's BobCat Snowthrower. I sold one last year and here's a site dedicated to them. Page 1

Wow i didnt think that thing was that old, I traded my old busted up go cart for it and a hundred bucks!! Does anyone know what it would be worth now?? As for the toys, I have enough to keep me wrenching, but not too many that i cant ride all of them in a day, and this spring, i am gonna be building a new buggy, an all wheel drive buggy, same size, maybe a tad bigger, with a 600 or 700 liquid cooled sled engine, hopefully with reverse!!! it should be fun!! if anyone has suggestions about how i should do something different, please let me know!! any advice is very welcome.

There isn't a huge call for antique snowblowers. But, if it is cleaned up and the "BobCat" decal on the belt guard is in decent shape; it should be worth between $200 to $300.

I got mine for free, a neighbor couldn't get it started, so he parked it at the end of his driveway with a free sign! It was in excellent shape and all I did was install a $8 tune-up kit. I used it a couple times and then advertised it in the paper as an "antique" snowthrower. I eventually sold it for $275.

nice buggy. make sure you get some air filters if you are going to put that engine in there. I noticed the 500 in there now didn't have any.
can you make a vid of the buggy in action and put it on youtube? I think almost everyone would want to see it go haha

the reeds were in when i bought it, but the sled goes over 100 mph on hardpack, its a pretty wild ride until you get in about 2' of snow. i cant imagine it would be hard to put in reeds, its just a little plate between the carbs and intake.

lol, those were early pictures, i put some k&n air pod filters on after test day(when pics were taken) I was just stoked to ride!! My brother had a very primitive buggy with a 340 f/c and the carbs stuck open with dust, and he went for one heck of a ride!!! he ended up doing a long fishtail and crashing into a tree to stop, at about 40 mph!! he cleaned the carb, and put on a filter, and he was like 'i should put a kill switch on here' lol.. and brakes would be nice, after a near death expereince.... itwas scary to watch!! but yeah, as soon as the snow goes away, the buggy will be in some action vids on youtube!! i think i may have a few vids, but not good quality, and a bad cameraman, lol.

lol, action vid of the snowthrower... i guess i could, i have to wait for the god sent white stuff to finish falling, and then Get to it before it gets dark. i have to change the recoil rope first, it squealed and came all the way out, and before i noticed, the thrower grabbed it!!! oh well its only $5 for a new rope. this bobcat is in great shape compared to all the ones ive seen, and works great! i pushed all the snow off my roof a couple weeks ago, and i used it to blow all that snow against my trailer for insulation, all without a complaint!
