Nice sleds! That 77 looks like new? What's the red sled in that Blizzard pic, a Rupp?

Nice! In the pic of the under hood shot of the race SRX; Did you fab the pipes yourself??? Looks like you could eat off that engine!

Nice pic of you and the wife. I wish my wife liked to ride more...

actualy my wife and I were out ice fishing when that pic was taken last winter. it was a nice day. we do go for a trail/lake ride on ocation. we also take the sleds to the cottage several times each winter.
my srx pipes were built by Olaf Aaen. they are an older version if his Aaen wild srx pipes.
all my sleds are as clean as the srx looks under the hoods. i guess you could say i like to keep my stuff looking good. there are alot of non stock items on my race srx that any die hard yami guy should be able to point out. alot of stuff has been cromed on the sled also.

i am still happy with my '99. it only has 3000 miles on it and been well cared for. for what i use it for, i don't need another just yet.
the wife has the new one ('06) for her comfort, electric start, electronic reverse, high windshield, 2 up seat etc...

Srx clutches

Hey snoeproe, what clutches are you using on your srx? Im currently in the process of taking mine off the trails and onto the drag strip and I am looking into what clutches i am going to use...

Matt
if you look closely, i have Polaris clutches on my srx. the P85 primary (1:10 tapor, 30mm) was a snap to install. the secondary on the other hand was a little harder. the stock yamaha secondary is splined and uses a splined jackshaft. the polaris secondary is of course key'd, not splined. i had to install a new key'd jackshaft to run the polaris secondary (or any newer secondary). the jackshaft is a titanium key'd shaft from Microbelmont.
the Polaris clutches are the best in the buis in my opinion and components are readily available for them.
i am also using solid hard teflon motor mounts. i also mounted a torque arm (skidoo type) to keep the motor straight and keep the clutches in line. my belt issues are now gone. this is a must with a full mod srx motor in my opinion as they realy like to twist when you hop them up, especialy with the 76 and 77 all aluminum bulkheads.

lets see....Yamaha sled, Polaris clutches, skidoo torque arm and Willwood (arctic cat) hydrolic brakes. lol
sounds like a heinz 57 to me.

Looks like you got some nice toys. If I got a newer sled, it would be an older MXZ like that.
