Just a progetc I've been working on its a 73 440 cheatag with a 79 srv engine and a motorcycle carb it has a 7 in lift only 15 so I'm pretty proud I also want to put a turbo on it
The steering on that will be very "heavy" with that much lift at the rear.
Unless you are planning to drop the front of the track too and extend the steering posts.................
What do you mean by heavy but I do want to drop the front too
I am trying to make a mountain sled type for my area I only get like 2 ft of snow but stock it was to low
I'm new to snowmobilING this is my first sled
Found my electronics on ebay yay what do you guys think my track size is ? Should I put a bigger or newer one on tracks not in to bad condition for its age
Hey guys I need help can't get her to get spark she had spark before but it was weak then I cut the coil line a bit and spark got strong now there's no spark
That was it now I have spark again but it's very weak I just put a coil cdi and voltage regulator and cleaned my fly wheel there is also a small bit of the top side of my piston missing right above the rings
Then you do need a new piston at the very least and should inspect the cylinder for any scoring or even chunks missing there too.
It can be hard to see spark in the daylight so even good spark can look weak.
I would start with opening up the top end and looking at replacing the damaged parts first.
I already pulled the engine apart my reeds were staying open a little my sleeve is in perfect condition tho and the carb I have will not work for that engine so I have to buy a new one
