Sled Skiing
Anyone been pulled behind a sled on skis?
Had a great time doing it on moosehead lake. Only problem was that we only had a 12 foot toe rope, Next time were bringing a water-ski rope so i can make so nice and long GS turns at 40 mph without having to worrie about the wait on the lift when i get to the bottom, because there is no bottom!!!

I can't even snowboard, or ski, well, I did cross country, but I'd fall off.

We Stayed in one of Lawerences cabins, in Rockwood. We had a great time, Even saw a moose while we were out sleding! It was my first time on a snowmobile and i love it, thats why im here, so i can learn a little more about em. Then buy a nice ski doo, or something on that line, and tune that bad boy to the best of my ability, which isent much now.

Did it a lot when I was a kid... back in the 70's!
BTW, it's against the law to pull any or sled, skier behind a sled.
I can see where a pulled sled would be dangerous (we used to do it anyway) but any skier (with brains) only has to let go of the tow rope to avoind slamming into the back of the sled. We used to roll off the towed sled before we hit the rear of the tow vehicle.

My friends and I took turns pulling two at a time on sleds down some powerlines in Kalkaska at up to 50mph. It was kind of like a battle sled type thing, hit ruts and hills and bounce back and forth until one knocked the other off the sled. Never laughed so hard in my life. It was fun. We also did get ticketed once on the lake for holding on to the rear bumper of a friends jeep going around the lake and doing doughnuts.

why do the police always ticket us for doing the fun stuff haha, can't do anything with them around, no brake torques, donuts, no anything haha. Just gotta drive with open eyes . No tickets yet, pulled over once, driving my friends truck, suspicion of drunk driving, stupid cops lol. I had to do the breathalyzer and they searched the vehicle, boring and cold at 3 AM. Friend was drunk though, he was pretty funny.
