How Safe Where You Live??
Do you lock your doors at night or sleep with the windows open??
Do you lock your car or actually leave the keys in the ignition??
Do you leave the garage open or lock it up tight??
Just got me thinkin' this morning when I went out to my attached garage & found I never closed it last night...luckily, I only need to worry about coons & chipmunks getting in there.
Also, earlier this summer, my daughter used the cottage & left the front door wide open (screen door was closed) until wife & I went there 2 weeks later. Luckily, nothing was disturbed.
I have a terrible habit of leaving the keys in my cars when I park them at home, Corvette included. Just call me fat, dumb, & happy!!

i guess it depends...
at my apartment i lock my trucks and only keep the spare set to my ranger in my F-150. all other keys are in my apt.
i lock my door, but leave my window open all day, and patio door open at night (but close while im at work).
at home (plymouth), i'll leave my keys in the truck when its in the drive way. house is always locked up.
at the lake, truck windows are open with the keys in the ignition. no worries about people jacking my truck. they're to drunk or out on their boat
my one worry is when i leave chi-town for the weekend, or on business, i get a panic attack that i forgot to lock my door, or set the alarm on my trucks...or the worst fear is the battery is dead in the smoke alarm. i guess sometimes im a worry wart, but everytime i come back, things are A-Ok.

Everything is pretty good here to, i have a tendency to leave my keys in the truck every now and then. The only problems here and i'm sure other people have the same thing in there town is the so called "gangs", they live in a small town with the population under 11,000 but yet they think their an L.A gang. Kinda confuses me

I never leave the keys in the car, although I never lock it. I'm out in the country, so I feel pretty safe. I do lock the house out of habit.

I lock everything, out of sheer habit. I grew up in a small town, with no real threat of having anything broken in to. But, my parents just always locked everything...and I still lock everything, all the time. I don't think the 'burb I'm in now is high-risk, but it's just another level of precaution.

Fortunately, due to the extreme retardation basically caused by massive in-breeding of the area in which I live, I don't have to lock up anything at any time. have lived this way for about 10 years now and not had a problem. In reality, I live in the country around a great bunch of Farmers who are constantly out moving around all day. Nothing goes on around here out of the ordinary without the local authorities being called, not that they ever have been. Very secure here.

I have no door key for my truck so it hasn't been locked in about 6 years. And since I've been using the company truck, my truck has been sitting in the parking lot in the middle of town unlocked. Overnights and even a couple weekends. We'll lock the house if we're gonna be gone for the weekend, but other than that, anytime I stop at the house during the day when no-ones there it's open.

I have a bad habit of locking myself out of everything. The house, and the truck especially. I've had to break in to my own house twice. I'm 6' 260lb. Not an easy chore! I've locked myself out of my truck quite a few times. I locked the keys in the truck at the bar one time and had to break in with a couple of my buds so we could go home.It felt like we were the three stooges(too many drinks to coordinate this properly). And we caught some slack from somewhat of an audience. It was funny but embarressing.
I also live in the country and don't have much to worry about. But the sled trailer is unlocked and the keys are in the sleds.

I think my area is pretty safe, only I take extra precautions because I don't want to ever experience anything the such. I'll leave the keys in the ignition sometimes, but I always like to keep my garage shut unless I'm out there or coming back in a little bit as I always have either two sleds or two jetskis in it.

thats very true. If they want your shit they are just gunna take it. no matter what they have to do, you can surprisingly break a window very quietly.

My neighborhood is pretty quiet. My wife leaves her keys in the ignition overnight and I lock mine in the truck. We don't lock our house unless we are going away for the weekend. During the day, my pup let's anyone know that she's there for a reason. The garage stays closed and locked unless I'm using it.
