I love the little doggy chains helping hold up the tailgate. And is that a block of wood wedged between the gate and the hitch? I love it.

Yup, block of wood between the tailgate and the trailer hitch. You know that it was planned that way because the end of the block was turned so as to fit into the ball mounting hole.

Thats not a fifth wheel. Its a goose neck trailer. Either way i have seen them pix on many forums. Hes deffinatly working with what hes got.
