Tornado!

WOW! This was close! A tornado came through yestersay one mile north of us and took out a house. Wicked storm! You Michiganders might have seen it on TV. It was in Cohoctah township just north of the town of Howell.

We had two hit about 25 miles north of us in Montcalm Co and one in Eaton Co, which is also about 25 miles from me. Luckily we only got lots of rain.

If you listen to 93.5 all day, you would have heard it. My son and I took a drive to look at some of the damage yesterday. WOW! 2 houses missing there roof! BIG trees scattered all over.We even put in a 2 hr. shift helping some people clean up there yard. I ran a wood chipper. These people lost there barn and part of their roof. What a path of distruction. Clean up will take awhile.

I heard some storms hit up there, I knew that was your neck of the woods......or lack there of now. Glad to hear your ok. I had some crazy storms down this way about a mounth ago, but just wind and no tornado's, but it still blew down a ton of trees.
I don't know about you guys but I have had enough summer.

holy crap! i never thought one would touch down, and cause that much damage.

last week thursday, there was a tornado touch down in bolingbrook, IL. its just 20 min west of where i live...needless to say i was a bit curious to see if any damage was caused. but none was reported.

OK the reason i didn't hear about it was cuz It happened after i left work and didn't take in account that i don't listen to 93.5 on the weekend lol. I got the work today and they talked about it every hourly news update. i guess the damage was pretty hardcore. I was at home making a whole mess of jello shots for the company pig roast for the next day, And even the storms in Dexter were pretty hellacious.

yea we lost power in the whole industrial park i work in for 2 days right up there on 36. We heard tornado sirens, i was welding with my helmet down and the welder quit so i thought i just popped a breaker. So i flipped my lid up and i was in total darkness. Luckily i could stumble to the bay door to find some light.
