Nice ride

I went for a nice ride today and put on about 200 mi. I headed out this mornning and headed south along the river. The day started out at about 35*and the motor was running strong and full of life. About a mile or so from home there are some good hard corners you can hit at about 60 and really lean into them. I just love those corners that let you hang off the seat and pull on the bars. While going through the S turns I saw a couple of deer and I was just hopeing they wouldn't jump into my path. There was no way I would be able to avoid them if they did. The deer may have seen my light or heard the roar of the exhaust but into the woods they dissappeard. I was about 100mi out when the engine sputtered and I realised I needed gas. I pulled into this little 4 horse town. The gas station is also the town diner and mini grocery store. Good place for lunch I thought. I sat at the counter and had some nice hot soup and spoke with the locals. The usual question and answer. "Where ya from?" "Where ya goin?" "Hows the ridin?" I left there and headed home along the same route. now it is about 40* and it is getting wet. There are little puddles and rivletts every where and I am getting soaked. At this time I am getting anxious to get home and get my leather off. The stuff weighs a ton when it is wet. I turn in to the driveway. Then I drop the kickstand and hose the salt off the old Sportster. Ya I don't have any snow but I do still enjoy a nice ride!

Great story! Sucks it's that warm to ride on 2 wheels instead of a track and skis!

Good story, I like the way you kept it till the last to say it was on your bike instead of the sled.

Had to do some a that ridin' meself Yesterday, today, and some more tommorrow! This weather is somethin' else. Gotta' find time to finish the sleds and trailer but if it keeps up like this......nah, I still am beggin' for some colder weather and lots of snow. Like you said, mmr,it's great compensation.

I thought everyone would enjoy a nice kicker in place of the usual "waah I don't have any snow."
