This is not the same house I posted before. We have been looking a lot, and put offers in on others, but the market is so competitive that you have to put in firm offers for the persons asking price or you won't get it. Houses literally go up and then sell within a few days. It was really hard to find a place within our price range that had what we wanted. Privacy+3 bedrooms+boathouse+garage. This one actually has a 2 bedroom apartment above the boat house, so its perfect for when people come to stay for boating or sledding. Where actually down sizing Anyone want a house with a big garage http://www.mls.ca/PropertyDetails.as...ertyID=4489406 BRP, your in Bobcaygeon right? YOu'll have to come over for the house warming aprty in the summer

I looked at the realtor's ad & noticed the age of the house is "Old"!! That made me chuckle..........never seen one like that before!!

Looks like a great location. If that's "old" , what do they consider an antique? looks like about mid '50s style.

There all "old" up there. Actually anything with a proper foundation and a oil furnace is atleast $350 thou. Crazy market, people were paying $300g's for an old 1000sq ft converted cottage sitting on cinder blocks Its hard to tell the real age because they get added on to and modified so much. Plus this one had old peopel living in it with old people stuff haha. Gonna be nice having a wet boat house too, not allowed doing that anymore, hell they won't even let you throw cribs in for docks

Yea I'm the youngest, and have been outta high school for a year now. Found a decent job and said screw school. I'm actually checking out various grants I can get to maybe open up a performance shop up there, tons of people around with cars and trucks up there with a lot of money.

Its nice when things are grandfathered into a property. I dont know Canada's laws but around here as long as the structure is still there you can build on/fix it up. Lots of people will buy a property with a run down boat house that still has the footings and completely rebuild it, 3x the size and live out of the boat house.
Cool new house by the way.

screw the car bizz, I work in the car bizz and hate it. I would leave but it pays to much money, thats how they keep you. Run as fast as you can from the dealership.
