I am an avide bowhunter. It is one of my favorite past times. Now that my kids are getting into it it's even more thrilling!

i hunt with a weatherby .06 grand slam package with the weaver grand slam 3-9x scope. that gun was dead on at 100 yds. straight outta the box. i love it. $1000 bucks, but i think it was worth it. i also got an aluminum case with it. the only thing i've shot with it was a rabbit!!!! i'm still not too sure why i shot that rabbit, but...o well. i saw it, and just reacted. i clicked the safety off, found it's neck in the scope, and...BOOM!!! he flipped over backwards. WHAT A HOLE!!!! i couldnt believe it. i saw a doe about 30 mins. later, less than 100 yds away from where i shot the rabbit. i watched the doe bedding for over an hour. this was in vermont where deer are rarely seen, so i enjoyed that.

my 1st buck was 110 lb. spikey with 10" spikes. i was hunting with my dads old 870 wingmaster with 2 3/4" shells. i had it loaded slug, buckshot, slug, buckshot, slug. i saw a deer and thought it was a doe at first, then i saw an antler and picked an opening. when he walked into the opening i saw the bead on his chest/neck area and shot. he piled up at first, but then he got to his front feet and started trying to pull himself up so i shot him again and he went down. then i'm standing there shaking going "holy s**t, i just shot this thing". and i saw his back leg kick so....yup, thats right, i shot again. LOL. i didnt want him to lay there and suffer if he didnt have to. when i was done with everything i was looking it over and saw that my 1st shot hit him in the neck, so he was all done with that 1, my 2(buckshot) peppered him from nose to tail. and my 3rd shot hit him in the back leg LMAO. that was a waste of ammo, but... o well. just thought i'd tell u all what my first deer was like. BTW, it was my second year of hunting.

That'll buff right out
I love hunting and have been doing ever since I could walk through the woods. Shot my first deer last fall on the first day of the season . Spent the rest of it hunting partridge.

I shot my first buck this year on opening day with my 870. It should score close to 140. I missed it with my bow..........twice! Even the old Z Max didn't hit, I know it wasn't me. I will have the mount at the deer and turkey expo at the Lansing Center, I figure it might be my only chance to take my own.

Yes my husband and I both got drawn.Didn't think either of us would since I live in RI.I did spend a small fortune on the Black Eagle but it is an awesome shotgun! I wanted one of the quickest auto loaders and it has the inertia system rather than the gas system.I can shoot different size shells without doing anything.I hope I see more turkeys than deer this year.

semi-auto huh?? i would rather have a pump rarely jam as much as a semi does.. and the faster the semi loads the more prone to jamming!! good luck with it it seems like an awesome gun
by the way... ZR6 that buck is huge!! whatd u get it with??!! that your first deer?

My buck
No I wish i had some pics of my other deer. I have shot 6 in my 3 years of hunting. Two were bigger than that. One is getting shoulder mounted. Man I should get some pics of my friends buck....scored 197 non typical. 10 points short of the minnesota record.
