Re: I want to buy a sled! But which one?

Love my 2000 mxz 700. Its got plenty of power and will get to 80mph in a hurry. With the shorter track and bar risers, its a blast in the ditches and handles nice and tight in the woods. Im thinking of taking out my outside studs to see how it handles in the fast corners. I wanna get that faster, sliding cornering feel like when racing a quad.

i personally love and would definitely recommend the skidoo mxz. if u want something cheaper go with a 600 ho. i have a 2005 mxz 600 ho and it is both agile and quick in the trails, easy to turn and throw around and it is quick on the lakes too. i can keep up with an 800 skidoo and my buddies f1 arctic cat up until 90 mph. i actually just hit 103 mph a few weekends ago. i think that is fast enough. no need for anything faster.

What is your budget MacAttack? For $4-5k I'd look for a Crossfire or Renegade, for $5k+ I would recommend a Switchback 136, or a 144 with tipped rails. Avoid the '08-'10 Polaris 800 motor, but 600s and the other 800s are good for the most part.

Great feedback guys, thanks a million! At this point, I'm looking to spend around $3K. The guys I ride with have a good number of contacts (2 of them repair sleds as well, which is a big plus) and they believe I can find a nice sled in that price range.

Lots of kudos for the MXZ sleds!...I'll be looking closely at them as well.

Here are a couple of decent looking sleds in your price range. Both seem to be in good condition and look nice. Both will be powerful and quick.
