Nice day for a ride!
Great day in the mountains, tons of boondocking through the trees and hitting a few places to a bit of climbing. We had great snow, pretty deep but also solid, you could go almost anywhere. Fun day!
Not a good day for a 136" track, though!
Nice scenery
Mt. McLoughlin as seen from Wine Bottle.
From Wine Bottle, looking toward Pelican Butte. That's where we're heading
Looking back toward Wine Bottle (the small knob right of center.) They call it "Wine Bottle" because under the snow in a rock pile at the top of the knob, (under the stick visible in the third picture) there used to be a wine bottle. Hikers and riders would put their name on a piece of paper and put it in the bottle. It was kind of like a GeoCache before GeoCache got to be popular, and before GPS's were so common.
Fun day!

Funny you mention that. I don't recall if I posted on this forum or not but I finally did get stuck this winter while riding my RMK. I tried turning around in a tight spot on a day with tons of fresh snow (like 4'). I was going way too slow because of my over-confidence and paid the price. I learned a good lesson though - with a bad enough driver, that sled actually can get stuck!
Here's a video of me digging out. My daughter was helping and my son was shooting the video...
The snow was a little too deep.... - YouTube

That made me truly laugh out loud
If you're not getting stuck, you're not riding hard enough! Nice trench!!

Nice pics, Dan.
Bert, I have yet to get my IQ stuck other than against a tree, but it'll probably look like that when I do.

If you stand on the throttle long enough *after* you stop moving, you can dig to China with a 136... ha ha! Nice work there...
Looks like a perfect day for riding!

The stuck guy is a retired fighter pilot (F-15s) No fear, but could use a bit longer track! He was getting stuck way less at the end of the day. Throttle is your friend
