I use my 2002 500 classic touring to haul the slay for water and wood at the cottage. i have broken the rear bumper twice now and am looking for some advice on a stronger version. I was thinking of just making one from some steel. any suggestions that would look good and hold up?
Hitch kit, just put one on my Indy. The OEM bumpers are hollow and are not that strong. Find a different bumper on Ebay along with a hitch kit. That will look good and work the way you need it to.
I paid $10.00 plus shipping for my OEM hitch, but the box was beat up. I didn't care. I see a lot on there and the prices are all over the place. Keep an eye out and you'll find one for the right price.
I've also seen used complete bumpers with the hitch attached.
