STOLEN SLED - 499cc Yamaha phazer lite

Not mine, friend of a friend of a friend... Stolen in Bismarck, ND. Pretty obvious sled, you don't see lots of 500cc 4 stroke mountain sleds running around.

$2000 REWARD for Snowmobile

It would stand out like a sore thumb since no one is trailering sleds around here due to no snow...

That's a pretty BIG reward... Insurance would have been a lot cheaper!

Having said that: thieves should be shot!

Haha correct. Did it happen to have GPS? Haha. Report to police. It cannot be registered if reported stolen. If stopped by dnr it is always checked. Let the dnr find ir and report it stolen! No reward money needed!

up here in ND we have lots of unregistered sleds. In the post the guy himself said it hasn't been registered. (people either ride ditches/private land, or they trailer to the mountains in a different state and get a temp out of state registration)

In any case, I'd have to assume the 'new' owners probably aren't going to register it. I'd guess its going to get parted out.

A reward worth half the sled's value? I would be ticked too if I were in his place, but $2k borders on rediculous. Anyway, best of luck to the guy and hope he gets it back!

Here in michigan we all have them registered and trail permitted. You cant go off private property without it being registered, or you recieve a hefty fine. It only costs 30$ to register here. Even if they dont register, report it stolen. If they get stopped it will get checked

You never know! I would not doubt if they didnt. No harm in trying. It takes calling the police and reporting it, 10 min. Of time
