Year and ID Help

Hi everyone, i'm new to the site and could use a hand. I bought and older 1978 artic cat jag 3000 but it has a yamaha engine in it. I need to find out the year and motor size (cc). Only #'s i could find is S433-039536. The 2 spark plugs are on angles and there is 8 bolts holdning each head ,4 big,4 small. will post pics when i home home tahnks for any help . Be safe.

I'm sure Yamadad will help you with the year as I don't know which digit that would be, but I'll go out on a limb here and say you've got a 433.

I'd say that's a 70's 433. Had the same motor in my Sno-Jet.

should be from a 77 GP440, based on the serial number.

I had an '80 Jag with a Suzuki in it... pretty sure Jags from the late 70's through early 80's had Suzuki motors. Sounds like someone did a motor swap...

Back in the day, I had a 72 Puma that I put a 433 Yamaha [from a Sno Jet] into.
