I got this old 1980s Polaris Gemini 244 from a farmer that said it hadent been running for 10 years and had been seized for atleast 5 years. So i took her home to see what i could to with it.
I soaked her in Diesel for about 2 weeks but still got nothing. so i pulled the motor and benched it and started pulling it apart to find that the piston , wrist pin bearings , connecting rod, and crankshaft bearings were all seized stiff.
By this point i thought she was a goner and was gonna give up on the project till i figured whats there to lose, so i started pulling it apart and playing with the bearings and working with em and got most of them broke free.
Then i ordered to bearings and piston rings and gasket set, honed the cylinder put about $300 into it , and about a month later after picking it up , shes outta the shop and runs like a dream boat
